Currently pursuing a Ph.D. in Systems Biology and Bioinformatics, Jiachen holds a keen interest in single-cell multi-omics, spatial genomics, network science, and machine learning in computational biology. His current research projects in the Jin Lab and Li Lab involve both data analysis and methodology development, with an emphasis on diabetes and other pancreatic subjects. Prior to the enrollment in Cleveland, he obtained a B.S. in Biological Sciences from Southern University of Science and Technology, gaining experience in both experimental and computational approaches. In addition to his academic pursuits, Jiachen takes violin lessons through the Cleveland Institute of Music’s Public Programs and is a long-term enthusiast of classical music, modern art, and civil aviation.
